had this less than one week.
The setup was easy. This ultrabook got a sleek looking, light and good battery time make it more portable, sound is also good. from xp and mac user, Windows 8 is not that bad, got used to it already The system is compatible with old version software like photoshop and office which I can still install on this one.

however i found the touchpad is sometimes too sensitive, got some unwanted action too many times, need to get a mouse and disable the touchpad. The touchscreen is also not so good to use, since when touch it, the whole screen will vibrate, making the feel no good. Also the Web cam is really bad.

Endesa up returning the laptop. Too slow, IE hung constantly. The new metro interface was cludgy. I had to reinstall skype.

I looking for great laptop and good for tablet. This machine is amazing fast and great responsive in many ways. It can be one of my favorite gadget if it does not have serious Wifi connection problem. I use Apple Time capsule (old version) as my router to internet. Normally, I use my computer, tablet far from it around 15-20 feet, nothing go wrong. All my machine work and run internet extremely fast and never have disconnected problem.

My new Sony Duo 13 is show only 2 bars for Wifi connection (all other devices show 5 full bars) but on top of that they running all download super slow and disconnected from my router occasionally. I have to move my Duo very close to my router, the result is super fast as 10 times as 15 feet away. I try to update all the driver and patch of window 8 by lay it down next to each other.

The result is the same. I have to returned it to AMAZON. sorry.

Avoid it. I brought the same model from Sony online store and returned it at the same week. The Wi-Fi constantly dropped on this model and the signal was very weak. (The Vaio duo 13 had only 1- 2 bars signals where my Vaio T had 4 bars, and my Toshiba had 5 bars) I even took it to the local Sony store and installed the Wi-Fi patch. The problem was still there.

I was a bit unsure when I went to buy this computer, but now that I have it, I love it. Many of the complaints that I had read about, I googled them and found a solution for most of it and I'm really happy with this purchase. The touchscreen is awesome and I love Windows 8, yes it's confusing at first but along with the computer comes a little Windows 8 tutorial that shows you the basics. The backlit keyboard is not as bad as people say, its really helpful actualy. Also, you can fix the sensitivity of the trackpad so its not jumping all around & when people say that the right side of their trackpad doesn't work, its because that's your right clicker (the one that brings up the drop down menu)so you just have to get used to clicking on the left side when you want to select something, and if you can't get used to that, then just tap it, the touchscreen is great. I haven't had problems with my wifi, it's actually been working great. I'm super happy with my purchase, and if you have any questions about anything, you cant go wrong by googling it, or if you're thinking about buying it and haven't yet,comment on this post & ask whatever you're debating about so maybe I can help clarify.
p.s DataVision is a great company, the delivery got here sooner than expected. ALSO! I thought this was the aluminum model, but I'm really happy with the plastic model, it looks very sleek.
I would definitely recommend this Laptop to a friend.

When I first received this computer I was fairly impressed with it. It is a very sleek computer with a modern design. It runs great and the touchscreen is very nice, but I would not recommend this laptop until the WIFI issue has been fixed.

The laptop has the worst wifi range of any device I own. My kindle fire has a longer range than the vaio 14 laptop. If im outside of 15-20ft of my router the laptop has 1-2 bars of connection in the same place where my older computer has full connection. This is outrageous for such a new computer. Unless you plan on leaving the Ethernet cable plugged in at all times DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP

After you uninstall the bloatware and stop a few startup programs in msconfig the laptop is perfect for everyday use. The screen is amazing and the touchscreen is very responsive.

great screen, nice slim design, i had a glass of water beside my vaio and my cat knocked it over... the water went all over the keyboard. i immediately turned it off and used dry tissue to soak up what i could. i let it sit upside down for 2 hours and water was still slowly dripping out of the keys, and it still works like new! I LOVE IT!!!

Like the features of the laptop (this is my first) but the battery life really sucks only seem to get a couple of hours on it. Not a good choice if you travel a lot and depend on the battery lasting for you flight

I have gone through hell with the T-Series. After writing an initial positive review the computer started to freeze every 2 hours or so. The only way of fixing it was to do a hard shut down. I sent it to Sony THREE times, leaving me without a computer for over a month. Each time I'd receive the computer, turn it on, and 2 hours later... freeze. Gahh!!!

Finally, they upgraded me to a refurbished (it should have been new, not refurbished) T series but with higher specs. While it is a full keyboard, the keys are very shallow. I'm a transcriber -- unfortunately, the keys are less than ideal.

I like this laptop a lot. It is cute, bit heavy (almost 5lbs) yet the battery life is amazing. I am a college student and have a load of classes. My laptop never died on me so far, unless I didn't charge it, and its sturdy! Only complaint is that the click touch pad (the flat build in mouse) tends to not respond to "right-click" functions. For example, when you right-click to copy, open new tab, or to see the options, it does not always respond or it does a one-click on a link when you wanted to load it in a different tab. Gets frustrating when I am trying to correct a paper, open a new link in a new tab, or searching something. This is why I gave it a 4 out 5 star. But, over all I do like it, it does not over heat quickly like my other 4 HP laptops. Good Performance!

This LED Vaio screen panel is exact factory match for Sony Vaio PCG-71913L . Came well protected in perfect condition. Cost is very reasonable, delivery prompt with a tracking number. I did the whole exchange myself. If you type "Sony Vaio PCG-71913L screen replacement" on YouTube you will find a step by step video with tech Brian explaining and showing what to do next. I am not a technitian and it took me about 45 minutes for full panel replacement. The worst part is reconnecting the video LED cable to the panel, it took me several tries, but then Vaio rebooted at first time.
Finally no infuriating me yellow vertical strap !!!! Screen like new :-) If you take it to the shop, it will cost you $100 in labor plus the cost of the panel. You can save yourself $100 this way.
