The kit comes with what is stated in the specification sheet. I hated the mousepad because the clicking is not smooth.
It is a very fast machine but I have problems booting from USB. You have to read a little more about the UEFI.
It has 4 USB ports. Two of them are 3.0 (one supporting USB charging). The other two are USB 2.0.
Another problem occurred when installing virtual machines. VMware Once installed, when you create a virtual machine, the system reboots. Hopefully someone can help me with this.
In short it is an excellent buy, but will be updated as the operation with other operating systems.

I'll keep it simple, I don't know when Sony finally started making good computers but I'm glad they did. This thing is a beast. My only complaint is the touchpad is awful and it would be nice if the screen either rotated or folded flat. But the guts in this thing make it an exceptional computer for the price and it sure is pretty too.

Touch screen doesn't work. I have contacted sony support center, they said to return the product to sony and it will take 10 or more days to fix and return back.

This computer has ONE major flaw......it loses internet availability all the time. The computer itself is fantastic but when it drops your internet feed every 15 minutes it becomes worthless. Do not order.....from what I know now is that most if not all Sony computers have this issue. Can't believe Sony would let something like this happen and not fix before releasing it to the public.

I Love the color and the huge hard drive. Unfortunately, it is quite heavy but I do like the built in DVD drive and that's the necessary trade-off.
Although I've worked with computers for 30 years, I am confused by Windows 8. To get to the things I've used in other operating systems takes extra steps. I've heard an update is due out soon and I'm hoping that will help.

It's a great computer...my son loves it! The only complaint is the fact that the purchaser is forced to use Windows 8, an operating system that was designed for touch screen technology. Because this laptop is not touch screen capable, Windows 8 is more of a burden than a benefit.

I've only had this laptop for a couple of days, but so far, I'm pleased. Windows 8 was a bit of a challenge to navigate, and unfortunately the laptop comes preloaded with a lot of unnecessary add-ons that are time-consuming to remove, but that's pretty standard for any laptop. It runs quietly, does not get hot even after several hours of continuous use, is quick in terms of surfing the internet, and does a nice job streaming videos via Netflix, although the video quality is not impressive. The built-in camera is convenient and useful, but the resolution is low, so keep that in mind if a clear, high-quality webcam is important to you.

Loved it at first, except for Windows 8 when I first received it, but I knew the Vaio was loaded with it when I ordered it. It took a while to get the laptop updated and running the way I wanted, but I had settled into a familiarity with it when about 3 weeks into use it started putting out a strong burning odor. I shut it down for a while and restarted it later in the day. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with it. It appeared to be operating alright. 2 days later after using it for a short time it would not start back up after taking a lunch break. It would try to boot up, then it would give a disk read error message and say it would attempt to fix it and that it could take a while. It never would repair itself, just showed a black screen. I don't know what happened.. Maybe I received a lemon. Amazon just sent a replacement. I'll update as time goes by.

Avoid it. I brought the same model from Sony online store and returned it at the same week. The Wi-Fi constantly dropped on this model and the signal was very weak. (The Vaio duo 13 had only 1- 2 bars signals where my Vaio T had 4 bars, and my Toshiba had 5 bars) I even took it to the local Sony store and installed the Wi-Fi patch. The problem was still there.

this machine is a beauty in all respects except one - and that's a critical dimension. It is beautiful to look at, lightweight, fast processor etc. etc. But for a tablet PC to have a practically non functioning wireless adapter borders on criminal, and I paid 1900 dollars for this!! My Six year old Toshiba tablet, when placed right adjacent to this machine shows four bars when this one shows one bar, sometimes none. It takes for ever, and I mean for ever, to download anything. So I guess Sony intended for this machine to be used in stand alone mode only!! A standalone tablet - there's a new concept. Such a pity - the machine is a beauty in all other respects. But if you want to use the Internet, good luck......

Great laptop, I read some reviews online and on here about it citing a less than desirable processor speed. But really when it comes down to it, with three or four programs running its still pretty fast. Its great for a student, papers and projects are a breeze, with multiple chrome browsers open and even my DJ mixing software.

i bought this laptop for my fiance, so she could play world of warcraft with me and this laptop handles it with ease, no lag in game while raiding or doing dungeons and questing. im planning to buy one for myself, i rate this product 5 stars. I also use it to duelbox the two accounts and have no issues with this product, i am very happy with my purchase and i plan to buy one for myself. 5/5 stars

I had this computer for 4 months and the hard drive crashed one day with no warning. Sony has done little to help and it has to be sent out to be fixed. I have NEVER had such a upsetting issue with a computer so quickly! I will never buy a sony computer again. It was such a waste of over $700.00. Grr. Save your money and buy a Macbook!

I purchased my Sony Vaio in November 2012. Although I believe it is a great product in terms of performance for its price, I have had two major problems within 3 months of purchase. First, there is this high frequency noise, which is apparently common in some sony Vaios. It can easily cause headaches. There is a way to almost eliminate it by turning of the microphone, but one might think why I have to go through such a hassle of fixing a problem that should not exist at the first place. Then, I recently noticed cracks in the bottom corners of the monitor screen case, which again surprisingly turned out to be common after searching through forums. I have sent the laptop to be repaired; it is quite annoying to have to send your almost brand new product for repair when you actually need it!
All in all, I do not recommend this laptop; I am sure there are a lot of better-built quality laptops for the same price.

I love this computer EXCEPT for the fact that 2 of the USB ports are located at the bottom right hand corner of the machine. Basically, into the space where you would normally be putting your hand and moving your mouse around. So your hand is literally blocked by the any wires that are coming from those ports (including the mouse). Think about the logic here: the mouse wire is in the way of the mouse! Couldn't they have put the ports at the top right corner of the computer? I would have reviewed this computer at 5 stars, but the wires are SO annoying that I'm knocking off a two whole stars, just for that.

Whoever designed THAT should find a new career. I mean, this is Industrial Design 101. I'm submitting a pic for your reference.

This is an awesome laptop , very well built , very fast. Everything you need in a laptop . The desing is superlative and has a very useful touchscreen to make your work more pleasant . Try to buy this model in black because of the keyboard light , there is more contrast and it is easier to write .You will love this laptop and it's an excellent investment . The screen resolution is also very good . It looks and perform like my old 1200 dls notebook , much better .
